June

Holland, led by Marco van Basten and Ruud Gullit triumphed in the 1988 Euros.
England were the biggest disappointments with three losses.
Tord Grip managed Norway for the last time.
On June 18, 1988, Spanish veterans Jose Antonio Camacho, Victor and Rafael Gordillo announced their international retirements
On June 23,1988, Italy’s Alessandro Altobelli announced his international retirement.
